- What’s involved in being an On Purpose trainer?
On Purpose learning and development sessions happen every Friday afternoon and sessions cover a variety of topics under our two pillars of learning: impact and leadership.
The typical setup for Friday afternoon is through two sessions, the first from 1-3pm and the second from 4:30-5:30pm, but timings are flexible. Occasionally we will host a single session for the full afternoon.
The majority of our sessions take place in central London, however occasionally we run an online session.
- What are training sessions like?
The style and format of the training sessions varies a lot depending on what the topic is and who is training. In all the sessions, though, we encourage interaction and discussion with the Associates (they don’t usually need encouraging very much); bringing in real-life experience and making it as relevant as possible to the kinds of situations the Associates work is another common factor.
- What is the commitment?
Most trainers deliver one session on their topic of expertise for each cohort, or once a year, but some also deliver a series of two or three sessions. We look for trainers who are expert in their fields, so they often use sessions that are, at least in part, pre-prepared.
- What will I get out of it?
- “They have been a joy to run, those sessions, an absolute joy”, Cliff Prior, CEO, UnLtd
“I always come away from working with On Purpose Associates amazed at their energy, passion and enthusiasm for what they are doing”, Jack Bertram, Partner, McKinsey & Company
- Do you pay trainers?
All our trainers offer their services pro-bono. Where trainers have to travel to London specifically for training, we may be able to make a contribution towards travel expenses.
