Camila Fava Pestana

Camila joined On Purpose Core team in January 2019 as Marketing & Community Manager. Before joining On Purpose, Camila worked for 8 years at different levels of Marketing Management in Multinational Companies such as Mondelez International and Ogilvy & Mather. In 2016, Camila studied for a Holistic Nutrition Certificate at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (NY), which encouraged her to question the purpose of her work and the impact of the current food industry on society and the planet. In August 2017, she quit her job and left Brazil to do a Masters in Ecological Design Thinking at Schumacher College (Devon, UK) where she studied ecological worldviews, systems thinking, sustainability, regenerative design, group facilitation, economics for transition and tools for positive environmental and social change. At the same time, she volunteered for Transition Town Totnes Film Festival, being responsible for managing the event and its social platforms. Camila joined On Purpose excited with the huge opportunity in elevating and democratizing transition movements, as many people are looking for a new collective story with which to engage.
